The charm of the butterflyby ~ryoades

This is my last work and also over 100 hours Work time one my most extensive. The Background was a Photo and completly repainted, the part of the women was a pencil drawing from a photo and the final conversion to Photoshop CS3. I love the picture but her hand bothers me just a bit, it doesn't seem natural but the rest is mazing ^^

This is, in lack of better words, absolutely brilliant.
The detail is stunning, looking less like a painting and more like a photo, and the stance you chose for the woman is brilliant. It creates an almost flowing feel, keeping your eyes traveling along the body to see every little dedicated detail rather than focusing on one single part. The butterflies add just enough vibrancy into the background to draw your eyes from the woman in time to see all the hard work you've done on the nature around her, and it seems like every second you're watching it you find something new to be captivated by. You find yourself just flowing along in such a natural way by the time you've drunk in all the details you're hardly aware you've even seen it all. You just know you've seen a beautiful masterpiece.

All your art is brilliant, but this is a personal favorite of mine.

That background is insane!

The details are magnificent, it looks so realistic. The woman is quite lovely as well, I love the rather suspicious look she's giving those butterflies.

Her clothing is very unique as well, I love the colors and design.
