Leo - - die befreiung vom Herakles

der nemeische Löwe verwüstete Dörfer und Städte und sein hartes Fell machte ihn unverwundbar. Herakles stellte sich dem Löwen und erwürgte ihn mit bloßen Händen ... befreit von seinen Ketten aus der Unterwelt, kehrt er anmütig und sanft zurück um den Schutz der Menschen zu gewähren. In den Sternen findet er seine ganze Pracht ...

Das achte Tierkreiszeichen aus 12., Leo / Leonus oder auch Löwe.
Die Ideen als auch die Geschichten zu den Tierkreiszeichen, spiegeln sowohl den mythischen Hintergrund wieder, als auch die eigene freie Interpretation. Ich wollte den Löwen nicht sein Schicksal dem Herakles übergeben und so ließ ich ihm seine eigenen Ketten in den Sternen sprengen, um ihn auf Erden als Beschützer, der er dem Mythos entsprach, wiederkehren.
Das Grundkonzept war ein völlig aderes. Die Frau sollte gleich einer Katze sein und sich zu jener transformieren. Durch die vielen Arbeitsstunden entwickelte sich das Bild jedoch in eine völlig andere Richtung und der eigentliche Löwe kam hinzu. Im Gegensatz zu der Detailarbeit, bin ich mit der Komposition nicht völlig zufrieden, jedoch wollte ich dieses Bild endlich ad akta legen, manchmal der vielleicht bessere Weg. ich hoffe dennoch das letztlich ein wenig von dem Konzept herüberspringt. In der Komplexität der Details, ist dies wohl bisher das schwierigste Bild gewesen. Details in Großaufnahme folgen in Kürze ...
